CSS 3 の高度な機能

年末に参加した Swap Skills のセミナーでも紹介された CSS 3 の新機能が、年明けの ZD Net でも紹介されました。

今まで JavaScript や Flash を使わないといけなかった、Web 上のボタンのロールオーバーや、画面のフェードインなどが CSS 3 を使うことで実現。結構感動です。

ただブラウザによって対応が異なります。findmebyip.com にまとまっています。現時点で動作するのは Safari と Chrome ぐらいです。IE に至ってはほとんど対応していません...。

IE はいつもこうした対応が遅いので、デザイナーが嫌がるのも無理がありません。IE の CSS 3 対応はもしかしたら IE 9 までお預けかも。

CSS 3 saves Web designer !?

At the seminar last month, I heard about CSS 3's new feature, transition. ZD Net Japan introduced it.

We don't need JavaScript nor Flash to create roll-over and fade-in effects on the Web by using CSS 3. That's amazing !

We still have to care about the differences between browsers. You can check it at findmebyip.com. At the moment, Safari and Chrome are the best. IE is the worst for CSS 3...

Generally designers or creative people really don't like IE. We may have to wait IE 9 as a compatible version with CSS 3.
